My name is Chinami Yoshioka

I’m a piano teacher and also a mother.
Spending each day with my daughter and our beloved dog has taught me that “learning” is not just about mastering piano skills — it’s about growing together as a family.
Since 2017, I’ve taught over 500 students. While teaching, I often reflect on my own childhood:
What kind of support truly helped me grow in the long run?
What words or encouragement would I have needed back then?
These reflections have shaped the educational philosophy behind Legacy Piano.
I don’t just teach notes and rhythms — I work side by side with each family, as a team, to think about what’s best for every individual child. Together, we aim to nurture not only musical ability, but also the life skills that will support your child far into the future.
Legacy Piano is designed as a 10+ year journey of learning — one that develops not just piano skills, but also confidence, responsibility, empathy, and emotional strength.

I believe that music is one of the most powerful tools to shape a child’s heart, mind, and future.
Piano is not easy to learn—it takes patience, consistency, and courage to grow through challenges. But with the right support, I’ve seen even the youngest children develop strength, confidence, and a deep love for learning. That’s what inspires me every day.
What I care about most is not just how well a child can play, but how they learn, how they grow, and how they begin to believe in themselves.
I’m passionate about helping children discover their own potential—and about guiding parents to become confident supporters on that journey. Because when we raise children with intention and love, we’re not just teaching them music—we’re shaping who they will become.
