1. Can my beginner child start with private lessons?

2. Why don’t you offer private lessons right away?

Private lessons are best for students who can already read notes, understand rhythm, and manage practice on their own. Most beginners want private lessons because they feel insecure or need emotional support — but those are exactly the reasons group lessons are so valuable at the start.

If your family’s top priority is fast skill improvement, there may be other studios better suited for you.
Legacy Piano focuses on long-term growth, building confidence, consistency, and resilience — life skills that last a lifetime, not just quick results.

4. When can my child move to private lessons?

Once students demonstrate independence in reading music, keeping rhythm, and managing practice routines, we invite them to transition to private lessons. This usually happens around Level 4–5 on our Legacy Piano Skill Chart ( Coming soon) , but the timing depends on each child’s progress.
